Looking over everything, it seems that NIU, Ohio and Toledo will get the MAC's three tie-ins. Temple and Western Michigan should then have no problems getting a bowl game. But, Unless a few more pieces fall, it's hard to see Ball State getting a game at 6-6.

This is based on NIU winning on Friday. If Ohio wins the MAC Championship, then the Bobcats will play in the GoDaddy.com Bowl against Arkansas State.

I am resigned to the fate as detailed with your assumption of our loss on Friday (which I feel will not happen),

The only thing I think is missing is that UCLA becomes bowl ineligible when they get throttled by Oregon in the Pac 12 Title game, no?

It would be nice if we could somehow work a deal where we could flip from Boise to San Fran in case of our inprobable loss Friday, but don't know how those mechanics would work.
