Well, this isn't much, but I have a little positive anecdote to report. My wife and I are staying overnight in Archbold, Ohio, in Northwest Ohio's rural farmland. When we checked into our room, a guy down the hall saw my OHIO cap and asked if we'd won last night. I told him the said tale of woe of last night's second half meltdown. He seemed surprised and acted like he thought we were going to win. He said he hadn't been able to see any sportscasts in the last 24 hours. I took away two positives from this encounter: 1. Someone with no connection to OU knew that we were playing in the MAC championship game and cared enough to ask how we'd done. 2. He seemed to think that Ohio was good enough to be assumed the likely winner. I submit that this represents an improvement in the image of Ohio football during the Solich Era. Also, he knew that the "Ohio" on my cap referred to Harvard on the Hocking not Olentangy Tech. That's another positive and shows that our branding efforts are having some success.

Cannot get worse, can only get better!
My 110 son played in his final performance with the 110--he left after the half time performance and saw his team putting a hurtin on the cream of the west--got to avoid seeing/listening to what we and the team endured in half 2.
My son and his Bobcats are 0-9 when the 110 plays away from Peden.
It goes like this:
Freshman year loss to Virginia Tech in Blacksburg
Sophomore year loss to O$U at the Shoe
Junior year loss to Tennessee in Knoxville
Junior year loss to Central Michigan at Detroit
Junior year loss to Marshall at Detroit
Senior year loss to O$U at the Shoe
Senior year loss to Troy in New Orleans
Super Senior loss to Buffalo in Buffalo
Super Senior loss to NI at Detroit
(the last 110 road victory came when he was in high school and he went to watch the 110 perform in Champaign, IL and the Bobcats defeat the Illini.)(About forty 110 members traveled without instruments to Kent in 2010 and witnessed that loss)
If it is the Idaho bowl, most likely only 50 will travel and he's given up his spot to another--perhaps that is the game that the Ohio luck changes.......
