MH55: I have been on this board for quite awhile and I have read many of your posts.  Let me first say that I can't stand you.

Secondly, what's the point of making a bet with people you never see? I've got the line at +3.5 because let's face it, nobody likes a tie.  It's like making out with your sister, or sucking a tit through a sweater.  It's a lose lose situation.
I make bets with people here at work weekly on games.  Since we will never meet, and never see each other.  What are the stakes you are proposing?

What's the over/under on the number of MAC teams you beat next year with a winning record? I'm going to set that at 1.5.

Finally, someone has stepped forward. My only question is do you have the personal integrity to honor the wager. Pete Choctaw can vouch for my honor as well as any number of internet posters I have paid off.

No need to beg. A man of my wherewithal carries 0.5 around as pocket change. I will give you 3.5.

Here's the prosposal for you and all those hwo hate me and my two cents, yet seem to hang on every word.

A gift card to a national steakhouse equal to .02 X the number of views this thread generates as of 6PM Dec 2.
For example, currently we stand at 1675 views X .02 = $33.50

Let me know if you can handle that nut. Im certainly skeptical of a 20 post poster but Hyapatia, restore my belief there are honorable men out there.

Only honorable men have sucked a tit through a sweater.

But, you do realize how easy it is to bump up the number of views, right? You could feed the whole block that way ... hmmm.

Even though it has only been 20 posts (now 21) I've been reading posts and getting information on the site for 2 years.  Just registered recently when I felt I had something to say.

I decline your bet for the following reasons:

1. Part of making a bet with a person (not a casino) is the ability to brag to their face that you won.  I can only do that online, and that would make me lame.

2. I don't know who you are, not that I'm saying that you wouldn't send the money if OU won but what's stopping you from not sending it.  Same goes for me, if NIU would win, and I didn't pay up, there's no recourse other than slandering one another online which again is lame.

3. To determine a value based on a number of views that can be manipulated isn't fair - for either person.  Not being far is lame.

4. The fact that we've never met and I dont know you, therefore I don't trust you.  You can't make a bet with someone you don't trust.  I don't expect you to trust me either.

I think OU wins, and will be placing bets on the game again with my co-workers because I can brag to their faces, annoy them when they don't pay, payment is based on something fair, and I trust them.

Go Bobcats!

I will bet you  $5 in Kenny Rogers Roasters or Chi-Chi's Mexican Restaurant gift certificate dollars. The trip to China or Luxembourg to cash in will be arduous but delicious.

I'm feeling fairly confident in our chances this Friday. I'm giving us a 55% chance to win. Do I have to place a bet with an idiot to express that, or can I just say it? This isn't a gambling forum, ***ktard.

You know, if Ohio were favored (or it were a pick 'em), I might be inclined to take NIU, for purely selfish reasons. On my trip to Vegas this summer I put $10 on the Bobcats to win the MACC at 10/1, so I could hedge that with a bet on NIU for a guaranteed win. But the way the line is right now, if I did that we'd probably lose by 2, I'd lose both bets, and I'd have to live with knowing that I cost us our first MACC win so that God could teach me a lesson about gambling. So we're letting this thing ride.

Go Bobcats.

55% qualifies as "fairly confident" in Athens County ? Glad you're not my Physician.

C Money ? You should bet $55 to win 50 on NIU, then you would be guaranteed to turn at least a $40 profit on you original $10 wager.

Really fellas, some of the stuff I see posted here, I have to question how you measure "higher" education over there.....

That's a thought (I never pay attention to the money line, because I never actually bet on the games...just play in a season-long pick 'em group that is against the spread). But........I still think I'll let it ride. It will make our win Friday that much sweeter.

Yes, because that's the same as expressing confidence in a college football team's chances. Do you fall down a lot?

This is my first post in quite awhile. Frankly, I just don't have time to put into making messages on the board,  but I'm still an avid reader. Those who have been around BA for awhile know when I was a dependable poster.

But...this Temple dude is just too much.

Listen, I'll take your bet. Only because I want you to shut up. I'm not going to pay you and I don't care if you pay me. I don't want a free meal at Bennigan's or Friday's or whatever you feel is top notch dining in your little corner of the world. I simply want you to shut up.

And don't turn this into "I'll bet you to go away" because, quite frankly...I use MH55 to remind myself that while I may have the bad moment now and then; I can always depend on those in the slime pool who didn't get enough oxygen as a child and...still throw poo at the rest of us.

Maybe this is the bet: If I win...you get to come by as much as you want and humor me with your insanity and un-creative spirit that will remind me that...on my worst day...I could still be a loser like you. If you win? You get to continue to do the same as you always do: come by, say a few uninformed things, promote a picture....and make me laugh....and remind me that...it could be worse for me.

So...copy my message, find a dipshit picture. Call me a name...whatever. I call it proof of my evolution.

Wanna take that bet?

btw...your little dig at tennis is so much like everything you do over here. I've pretty much dedicated a large portion of my life to playing and coaching tennis and I've been quite successful at it.

That's besides the point. As most who ignorantly blather an opinion about tennis, most don't understand that it is possibly the most physically demanding sport in the world. This is why most of the pros carry around low body fat, and bad joints (I mostly carry around the latter).

But to completely undermine a sport that some love and understand the complexities of  is a lot like you....fat and uninformed.

I'll give you that gift card. I'll buy you a membership to my tennis club to stand on the other side of the net from me and bet you don't touch the ball. Yeah...I'm a big sissy for playing tennis...what's it make you if you can't do it at all?

Almost like Temple football...lots of yappin...no winnin'.

Post picture, same something dumb...and I'll laugh.

btw...that last post was lame. No laugh track for that one.

Tennis is no joke. I sat courtside for a Federer match when I volunteered for the W&S Open in Cincinnati. It wouldn't surprise me if he spends 10-12 hours a day practicing.
