So I guess I have to keep harping on this, but I started scanning the LIU game replay and noticed that there is zero improvement in the game sound.

How is this still such a problem? how does this still sound like a little league production?

Edit: saying there's no improvement is actually being very kind. I think it's actually worse because it is dead silent other than the broadcasters.

Please. Just... anyone... one or two field mics for nat sound, please. holy f***.

I was at the game, but my son and recuperating wife watched it at home on ESPN+. He said exactly the same thing -- horrible sound production.

So, I noticed someone actually found the switch and got some nat sound on after the game was already 17-0.

Even if you eliminate the sound issues by listening to the Learfield broadcast, the video production of last night's game was comically bad. My wife and I were laughing at video of the ground, officials butts, missing entire plays, etc.

How about the sequence when they reviewed Bangura's fumble and replaying the wrong play three times?

keeping in mind that each school handles their own production, I find that what is done visually at OHIO is at least quite superior to whatever that was yesterday at FAU. That looked like a gaggle of monkeys took over the production truck and were just randomly pressing buttons. The persistent issue at Ohio has to do with the sound... meaning the complete or nearly complete lack of nat sound for football and basketball games.
