I work at the university and we have a pop/soda machine in the building. I never use it but we received an email that the reason it had not been plugged in after renovations to the area it was located is that Pepsi lost the contract to Coke. Has anyone heard if this covers athletics too?

As long a Jackie O's is still in the stadium, I'm happy.

That takes me back.

Royal Crown Cola was the only soda my great grandma and grandmother would
have in their houses.

That would be very popular with my household as it is what I grew up with. Just surprised Pepsi lost the contract and wondered if athletics was the same or a different contract.

Being replaced by Wal-Mart soda brands: Mountain Lightning, Dr. Thunder, Twist-Up, etc.

Or Ski. A buddy of mine used to say that Ski is "like Mountain Dew, with a slight dirt aftertaste."

I was introduced to Ski freshman year in Lincoln Hall. Have not had the need to drink another since!

Believe it or not, that is actually the cola served at what is now called Heritage Bank Arena in Cincinnati (our sad excuse for an arena-formerly the Coliseum and many other names).

It's RC Cola, 7-Up, and other low end soft drinks from that line. One of many items that comprise a glaring list of issues with that facility.

Thankfully, the brew selection is decent.

7 Up is NOT low end. Far superior to Sprite.

What kind of soda pop we'll be drinking seems more important to us than the game itself.

I will not hear such slander.

RC Cola, 7Up, Snapple & A&W Root Beer are oustanding products -all upgrades over the Pepsi products. I hope it' true.
