Would love to see them break out a matte green with the white paw for a game.
Last seasonss white with the green paw is probably my favorite ever. Those were CLEAN. Also the black with the green/chameleon/shiny decal was awesome under the lights.
I tend to think of helmets with just the initial letter as the least imaginative or just a word (or a number or nothing) as being almost as boring. If you are going to do that at least do it in a font that is unique to which at least the arched OHIO does a decent job. Like Miami's "M" is to me a lot better than the one that preceded it which was, IMO, just about the worst helmet ever. Maybe that's my generation. I was born when most schools just had a generic looking letter on their helmet and just when everyone was starting to move away from it. If I were a 10 years older maybe my perception of a generic letter would be different.
I know that the school likes OHIO on our helmet to claim it as our own. Maybe the arched OHIO with the attack cat would be a better look but the tan is the quaternary color and we rarely use it as trim on most sports uniforms so if it is never used elsewhere on the football uniforms then I could see how that might be weird.
I was in school when we moved from the paw to the attack cat. Of course, as with any change, there were people complaining. I had several professors that remarked about the complaints about the change that when they moved to Ohio from another school that one of the first things that stood out was that we had one of the most unintimidating logos around or similar comment along that line. This might be another generational thing. Most people probably don't think of the paw like those of us who entered school with it.
