I'm not going to be able to attend the game, but I have some friends who might be interested in a travel package.  Excuse me if this info has been posted elsewhere, but is there any word on university-sponsored travel packages for this bowl?

Thanks.

They say the team is staying at the Riverside Hotel and that is quoted on ohiobobcats.com at 109 per night. Online prices list rooms for 92 dollars there but that may be excluding taxes. There are many hotels cheaper which downtown 3-4 stars going for 60 dollars a night.

I wish they would either move the MACC up a week or move out the lesser bowls a week.  12 days notice is not a lot of time to get airfare deals.  There's nothing from the DC/Balt area out there for less than $500 roundtrip.

I see a flight for $437 out of BWI on and I think that is pretty good for a flight out west. Those tickets are going for 300 on name your own price. Thursday to Sunday trip for the price I'm quoting here which makes sense because the Bobcat bash will be on Friday and you've got to allow a full travel day each way for this trip.

Are you going, Wes?  It's just still a little steep, especially for two tix, plus hotel and rental car right before Christmas.   If this were a playoff game I might consider it, but it's nothing more than an exhibition game.  I'll save my money (and approval from my wife) for the NCAA Tourney :).

I'm still thinking about it. I was planning to cut some corners on the trip by staying in Boise and just using the airport shuttle to get downtown and to the hotels. I don't expect to see the Cats in the NCAA's this year and I wouldn't have gone last time if the regional wasn't nearby in Providence. A trip to Boise is a bit of a gamble. If the Cats win it will be worth the trip to see the first bowl win in person. Let me send you a PM about the trip.
