None of these picks appear with any real confidence. Toledo by six is the most optimistic.

Three teams -- OHIO, WMU and NIU -- are underdogs by 2.5 or less.  Toledo is a 3-pt favorite and Temps is a 7-pt favorite.  All five are expected to be close.  At least all but Temps cover the spread.

I can see the MAC going 0-5 just as easy as going 5-0. I think Temple is the only definite win. The others could go either way.

Anyway enjoy our 5 bowl births now, once Miami and USC are back next year we will be back to our 3 bowl tie ins. If things go our way we might get a 4th team in if we're lucky, but most likely 8-4 records will be sitting home.

The MAC is fielding an unusually solid group of bowl teams this year. It wouldn't surprise me to see them do well.
