ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio University football will return to Athens today at 5:45 p.m. Students, fans and alumni are encouraged to welcome back the Bobcats at Peden Stadium to celebrate Ohio's first-ever bowl victory.

Ohio posted a thrilling 24-23 victory over Utah State to claim the 2011 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. Quarterback Tyler Tettleton scored the game-winning touchdown from a yard out.

With the victory, Ohio earned its first 10-win season since 1968 and finished the year with wins in four of its last five games.

Dave Maetzold spent a lot of time talking about the Bobcats and their win during his morning talk show on WTVN today. He had Lavon Brazill and Joe Flading on for brief interviews. He came back later and gave the information re: team arrival back in Athens and encouraged Bobcat fans to greet them. It was fun listening to the show.
