The title of this thread is somewhat tongue in cheek.  However, some the negativism in the chat room during the game was almost unbearable.  We certainly had some bumbling play particularly in the first half.  None of the coaches dropped the ball in the end zone, or couldn't figure out the play until the clock ran out (or the coaches had to bail them out with a TO).  You know that's not what the coaches taught them to do in practice.  The players just didn't execute in the first half.  So,as Frank said at the end of the half, let's all just calm down a bit -- myself included!

Being a lawyer, I appreciate that you didn't say "First thing we do, let's kill...."  I wouldn't want to be also deserving of death for having been a negative poster from time to time (when the situation deserved it, of course).

No I think a firing is all that you are due!

I'm a forgiving guy, so I'd hire you back the next day!

One of the posters in the 1st half was very happy and positive from his perspective, although I did not see anymore posts in the second half or after the game from MH55.

I have never been in your chatroom and certainly wasnt in an Ohio chatroom while we were celebrating our first Bowl win in 32 years.

Your posters should be ashamed they were in a chatroom while Ohio was winning its first ever bowl game.

MH55, I have a sincere wish for you in 2012. May you find a life.

I only got to watch the first half of each of the last two games. As I watched to poor execution in the first half of the bowl game I was disappointed but knew it was possible for the Bobcats to come back and win late in the game since NIU was able to do the same to them.

Finally, we found a way to get over the hump. Tettleton was great and I m jazzed about next season with him at the helm. I haven't posted much this season but have lurked the board and have kept up with the team.  The negative posters do have a right to post but I wish they would take things in perspective before they post.

The Ohio Bobcats are starting to get some national respect. I have heard several "experts" on FSN and ESPN praise the Ohio Bobcats and the overall program. Things are so much better than several years ago! Ohio has some great momentum going here, lets all just enjoy the ride and support the team!

I think in a bowl game, it doesn't matter how you win or lose. We should scrutinize the team if we lost with all the mistakes. Like we did for NIU. But in a bowl game situation where we have no other games left and nothing to improve on until the next season. It's a matter of win or lose. Not how. This would have been a tough pill to swallow if we lost because it was the almost like the 2nd half of the MAC championship spread out into 4 quarters. However, we won the game. The first in school history. We played poorly and still pulled out the win. Lets look forward and think about if we play well against Penn State. We'll have a 2nd year starter at qb. Coming off a big bowl win. And the 7 or 8 months to prepare.....We should be much more positive.
