This story got on my nerves a bit http://www.govolsxtra.com/news/2011/dec/29/ut-says-arnett.../

In a nutshell, Tennessee says receiver can transfer home but not to Michigan or Michigan State. However, MAC schools are OK because Tennessee doesn't recruit or compete against them...

I can understand the policy if it is related to not being happy with playing time, but when there is a clear situation of a young man trying to do the right thing for his family, you would think they would make an exception.  Tenn has plenty of image problems with Kiffin and Pearl, and this will not help and probably actually hurt their recruiting in the future.  Trying to picture Dooley sitting in the living room telling a family he will keep their son's best interest in mind on and off the field.

I am friends with a family who had a similar situation with Al Groh after Groh's first year at UVA.  He acted like an ass and after having one outstanding recruiting class, his relationship with high school coaches in particular John Schuman at Fork Union went up in flames and his recruiting results dropped significantly.
