We are in a select company this season.
Only 35 programs produced a 10 or better win season, that's out of 247.
Great job Cats

I'm expecting 14-0 and a BCS bowl win NEXT year.

Agreed but when teams now play 14 games, 10 wins isn't what it used to be.  That's just a tad more than 7 out of 10 in the old days.  Regardless, this was a successful season and just one game away from being really special.  Oh, that ever elusive conference crown.

To be fair, the same can be said for basketball.  With teams playing 30 to 35 games, a 20 win season isn't what it used to be either.

That's why it takes 25+ wins in b-ball for a MAC-level team to have even a prayer of making the NCAA tourney as an at-large.

Still, to have one of the 35 best records (27 best in 1A) in college football is really a great accomplishment.

Next season we have two OOC bowl teams on the schedule -- as opposed to none this year.  I'd think that if we go 13-0 through the MACC game, with road wins vs. Penn St, Marshall, Temps and KSU and Fiami (both of which should be improved next season), we should be in the national championship game.  After all, we beat Kent and Kent actually scored a TD against Alabama, something that LSU couldn't do in two games this season.  We deserve a shot.
