No Talk of Dunlap, and why does Strum keep getting consideration for NFL? Maybe I have missed something the past 5 years with Strum, but I thought he was a weaker link throughout his whole career. He does offer the perfect size which might help

What are you talking about?  Strum has played excellent for OHIO.  Believe me if he was a "weak link" he would not have started at Left Tackle the past two seasons.  If he was the "weak link" he wouldn't have gained all-conference, and all Phil Steele recognition.  If he was the "weak link" he wouldn't have been invited to play in (2) college all star games and earn a starting spot over players from all over the country.  If he was the "weak link" he wouldn't be signed right now with one of the better pro agents in the country (Bill Parise look it up).  If he works hard and wants it bad enough, Strum will get his shot.....

79DAD, glad you chimed in, I seem to recall him playing a huge role at OG as a soph.  I for one have not missed any of 79's contribution these past years.  Dannesse53 definitely has missed a great deal. Sometimes it is better to remain silent and appear ignorant than to speak up and remove all doubt.

Strum played very well at LG a couple years ago, and so, when they needed a left tackle, which many believe to be the most important line position, as it protects the QB's blind side, they turn to him. Strum had a little trouble in the early going at LT last year, but turned into a very good LT last year, and had a great year this year.

Strum had a bad game vs Marshall for couple plays Curry put him and Boo on their rear, however after that it was lights out Strum..seemed like his motor picked up and this year they dominated! Especially against Marshall who has very athletic DLine and a 1st round pick in Curry.

He neutralized a lot of highly-tauted defensive linemen this year, which is what was most impressive.
