But I was thinking.  With all of the conference shifts, would anyone think Northern Iowa as a good school to add to the MAC?  They come for all sports, Toledo goes to the East UNI to the West.  UMASS would have to come in for all sports if they want to join the MAC.

I don't think Northern Iowa brings anything to the table. The MAC needs to either concentrate on the members it now has to promote a more positive image or expand with teams that are already respected, UNI is a decent school but has no national interest and struggles to even have statewide interest in Iowa.

Don't know a lot about Northern Iowa, but I do know they brought an enthusiastic fan base to Milwaukee a few years ago for hockey. There were purple and yellow panthers around everywhere. I doubt UNI would want to take a step down in basketball.
