Nice 14 minute video that gives some history on the MAC mainly with an eye on its place in College Sports with an obvious lean to Football.

This was referenced in a HustleBelt article I read.

Not bad . . . missed a few things here and there, but an honest attempt to outline the history of the MAC.
One error, for which he can be excused because the official on-the-record information is inaccurate, is that Cincinnati left the MAC of its own volition. They were asked to leave because of irregularities in their athletic program. I believe it had something to do with athletes having grades changed to keep them eligible. What I do remember is that my father, who was on the Faculty Advisory Council, and served at least one term as its president, told me that he was the only one who voted not to kick UC out of the MAC. I don't recall his reasoning for that; he was usually pretty hard on cheaters. Apparently action by the FAC was an advisory vote to give guidance to President Baker. The Council of Presidents made the final decision privately and let UC withdraw in leu of being publicly kicked out.

In a time of insane nonsensical shuffling, I am proud my school has been in the same conference since its inception and I love the tight footprint and regional rivalries of the MAC. MACtion for life.
