Who would have been "ATS"?

This monogram is on one side of the ring.

The owner of the ring's last name is Johnston.  ATS probably stands for athletic training staff.   They didn't cost anywhere near the $450 that this guy is asking.

Keep in mind that it could have been a staff member, too. Per my old roster, members of the 2009 team that had a last name starting with S were:
AJ Strum
Theo Scott
JB Strahler
Tremayne Scott
Matt Shulte
Jamil Shaw
Miles Schlicter
Brian Sweeney

None of these looks like "ATS" to me.

Can you shine some light on which inscription can lead us to a name then since you have one?

My suspicion is that previous posters are correct, Johnston is the last name, ATS is the the training staff, and on a player ring instead of ATS it has the players number.

Does anyone have the media guide for this year where you can look up the staff?

The ebay seller by the way is not the player.  If you look through their feedback (Over 1000 ratings) they have sold many similar rings and guitars etc.  Sounds like a pawn shop.

There was no one in the media guide that year with the last name "Johnston."

Hi, my name is Christine Johnston. I was an athletic trainer for the 2009 team.  The ring listed in this posting was indeed stolen,I am currently in the process of dealing with ebay and police reports to get this resolved.  I took great pride in receiving that ring for working with the 2009 team throughout there accomplished season, any help anyone can be as far as the posting on ebay would be greatly appreciated.

Christine, sorry to hear this, I hope this gets resolved. It shouldn't be hard to prove that it was yours at one time, but hopefully they can find out who is responsible for theft.

If you have a police report on it then I would hope they and ebay would be able to help, I did find this snippet on yahoo answers to someone else who found their stolen stuff on ebay.

It's against the law and against eBay policies to sell stolen property.

If you have reason to believe that someone is selling stolen items on eBay or if someone sold you a stolen item, here's what you need to do:
1. Get the item number and the seller's user ID.
2. Contact the police and explain the situation. You can find local law enforcement officers on the USACops website.
3. Give the item number and the seller's user ID to the officers assigned to the case.
4. Tell the officers to email us at stopfraud@ebay.com with the following information (note that only law enforcement officers should contact eBay):
• Name
• Title
• Organization
• Phone number
• Email
• Address
• Case number
• eBay item number
• eBay seller's user ID
• Summary of the situation

I assume someone recognized her last name and told her about it, glad I posted about it.
