A quote from this morning's Orlando Sentinal

The Big East kicked out Temple in 2004 but now have invited the Owls back in because they need a program to fill out their football schedule next season. In other words, it's sort of like asking Mom to play in a pickup game with you and your buddies because you're one player short.

Nothing I can add to that.  Don't let the door hit you on the a** on the way out.

The mom analogy is all wrong.  It's more like not asking a girl to the prom because she's too homely but talking her into taking you and your date to the after-prom party because your car broke down.

Meanwhile.. Ohio sits at home on prom night justifying that the prom would have sucked anyway.

Now you're just starting to lose some of your positive points on  here by getting into this again.  The guy is just quoting what others said.  And we're going to the prom-it's just not very a very fancy one.

Did the quote in the Orlando Sentinal really say "Don't let the door hit you on the a$$ on the way out?"

Attack me.. I attack back.

You have too thin a skin if you feel attacked by that
Get lost with the rest of your ilk.

EDIT: BTW I was one of the first to credit you for being classy in your earlier remarks, I just don't know why you got so upset about someones good byes.

The portion of that post that was indented and in italics would appear to be the portion quoted from the Orlando Sentinal. I don't see anything that would give a reason to think otherwise.

No.  We're going to the toga party at Delta House.

I have never had any use for those temples.  Video was occasionally okay, but had a boa side.

Do let the door hit you on the way out.

'wow...so that's how it's going to end? Even after I pay my respect and express my gratitude?

TU VideoGuy, no I don't want it to end that way.  I, for one, really appreciated your presence on our board.  I hope that you continue to stop by from time to time.  I appreciate that fact that you said in an earlier post that you'd be rooting hard for us to beat PSU.  I also hope that we might play TU in the future as a non-conference opponent.  I think it's a good rivalry.  I wish you the best and hope you leave as a friendly member of the opposition not as some kind of an enemy.  GO IN PEACE MY FRIEND.

A)  I don't think Temple is going to schedule a game with a school that they could never beat when they were in the same conference.  I think Ohio will continue to play BE teams, but I don't think Temple will be one.

B)  For something to be a rivalry, the other team has to win at some point.  Otherwise, it's just a scheduled yearly butt-whooping.

Yes.  For years, Ohio-Fiami was a rivalry.  Now it's just a scheduled yearly butt-whooping.

Well, we should certainly give temples a shot in basketball, though.  Oh.  Nevermind.  temples boa'd their ncaa game.
