Well, he pretty much covered all his bases there; warning that the Cats could trip up PSU before arguing that OUr offense can be contained and our D overcome.  If you like ambiguity, this your guy.

I personally don't worry about our O too much and the changing of the guard in receivers would be a bigger problem if we relied on one or two guys - but we don't.

My personal belief is that a good game from the defense puts us in an excellent position to win this game.

I think he may be underestimating our offense some.

He also seems to be putting a tad too much emphasis on the spring game in regards to who will excel and who will stink.......sure Devin Bass will be good but I doubt if he "leads" the defense" and that poor receiving corps should be in sync by then.....so hopefully it's "in sync" not "we stink".

It would be nothing short of monumental for the Bobcats to walk into Happy Valley and take the first game of the season with the new coach. Regardless if how we stack up Penn State will be bringing the A game because of the significance. There is hardly a point to analyzing this game as there are a million potential outcomes here. This is not one for the bookmakers to enjoy.

And Ohio won't have a pass rush, I see. That's a shame. Should we just write the season off now?

I'm very optimistic about this upcoming season.  But, we do need to remember we lost our top RB, top WR, 2nd best WR, and middle linebacker.  That's some serious change right there.

Well, they actually lost 4 of the top 6 receivers, but oddly, I'm not overly concerned about it. There is a lot of talent left, and a great coach. They also lost two all-Mac caliber tackles, and I'm not that concerned, there, for the same reason.  Depth is a wonderful thing.
