Hefty price. The name is yellowed out in the pics.

Looks like it and they made it harder for the original owner to complain to eBay since they have gone and redacted anything on the ring that could tell you who it belonged to.  The thing is its not like we are Ohio State, there isn't a huge demand for a ring like this and you don't have alumni trolling eBay for them.  Usually someone like myself is just looking at OU stuff in general and comes across it.

It is sad to see though that the person who lost it still hasn't been able to get the ring recovered.

I guess the seller has never read the official game notes which requsts the use of  "Ohio" and not OU, The University of Ohio or Ohio State Bobcats!

I'm guessing they were just trying to get more hits, or potentially dupe someone.

I sent a request to them asking what name was on the ring and their response was they can't give it out due to privacy issues....

i dont know why but I find these hunts for information to be really interesting.  Here is what I have been able to dig up so far.
  • First posted by Mploesch in Perris, CA (A dealer who has sold thousands of rings on ebay)
  • Bought by Kyle190811 in Hattiesburg, MS  (Has sold maybe 20 rings on ebay and other websites, seems like a small time dealer)
Then there is a gap where I can't say if its the same ring or not:
  •  Put for sale by TJ's in Boca Raton, FL (Another massive dealer)

This isn't a championship ring.  What the school does is wait to the end of the season and then the staff decides what the face of the ring should look like as well as the shanks.  This particular year the bowl was the thing they decided to focus on.

Yes. Note that it is the listing, not the ring that refers to "Littler Ceasar's Bowl Champions". The listing also, as pointed out above, refers to the Ohio State Bobcats, so the seller obviously has some issues.

This is a 2009 MAC East championship ring....it has Little Caesars Pizza Bowl 2009 on the top....also would have the players name on the side and the words Year of the cat....i know because I'm looking at one as I type....my son won this one in a poker game.

LC got it, this is what I was referring to.  Misleading title, to be certain.

I realize it's the "everyone gets a trophy" mentality, but why even have a ring for this season? A ring should be a reward for a truly exceptional season. A bowl "appearance" and MAC East Championship - in my opinion - doesn't merit a ring.

Thank goodness it wasn't used to obtain a tattoo instead of a stake or the whole program would be in shambles now.
