I love how they managed to put our new uniforms in the game, that we've only worn twice (and only once with the black helmets), but they still use the old bobcat mascot that was retired some six years ago. C'mon EA

Why the hate toward Stoney. I liked that happy-go-lucky mascot.

No hate, but I've only been following OHIO since 2008 when I started college, so I don't have any emotional attachment to Stoney. All I know mascotwise is Rufus. Plus, to my knowledge, we are the only school in the game with an old mascot. I just think it's a little strange that EA went through the trouble of adding our new helmets and jerseys, but still hasn't gotten around to replacing a mascot who has been outdated for over half a decade now.

Because it's a lot easier to put a new uniform (or skin) in a game than it is to create a model from scratch and program animations and what not.

What makes it even more puzzling is that Rufus has been on the national scene for quite some time now, whether it was seen riding the motorcycle on an ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU broadcast or because of the Brutus fight. No reason he shouldn't be in the game.

Stoney's continued inclusion is annoying from an "EA is lazy" standpoint, but as long as he's in the game I can pretend college wasn't really that long ago

He should definitely be in the game. Although maybe they should give him a little bit lower of a tackle rating in mascot mode, since he did miss his initial open-field tackle attempt.

So.. you must be unaware that there's an arcade mode where the entire team becomes the mascot and they play against each other..
