Visit College Book Store and Follett's to build your Ohio wardrobe - for all seasons.

For example, at Follett's ask if they still have some classy scarves - solid green with a small block OHIO at one end.  Last autumn the store had a stack of them on the floor behind the checkout counter.

At College Book, scoop up some $6.60 t-shirts - and put one on immediately for your walk around sultry Athens.

Buy a generator, if Lowe's still has any.  Last I heard, a goodly chunk of the area was still without power and might not get it back by Monday.

A stop in at Jackie O's is always near the top of my list on every visit to Athens. I'm a big IPA fan and they always have one or two new ones to try. Love their fish and chips, too!

I'd start at the Front Room for some coffee, head over to Night Court for some pool, grab some food at Buffalo Wings and Rings, and then dance it all off at the Greenery.  But that's only because I haven't been back for a few years.

+1  This advice crosses all generation lines as well as those of race, gender or creed.

Great news is power had been restored to the city (though, not the whole county I believe).

I went to Big Mama's, Goodfella's, O'betty's, Jackie O's, Pigskin, J Bar (The Junction, had to check out the new digs), PawPurrs, Red Brick, and Larry's Dawg House.

No Miller's Chicken this time, though I do love it.

I also checked out the new student lounge in Baker, strolled around campus, and went inside Cutler for the first time ever.

All in all a great trip. I got to see some great friends and I wore my black basketball jersey all day on Friday!

I am also an IPA fan and I had one while there, though I can't remember what it was called. It was definitely yummy though. I'll have to try the fish and chips last time. I usually get the burger or the white pizza.
