Looking ahead to the year, everything seems to be going Ohio's way. The Bobcats are the runaway favorites to win the MAC East. My only fear is that I heard that same thing about my beloved Detroit Tigers before this MLB season and that hasn't exactly worked out. 

Here are two bold predictions for Ohio though.

1. Frank Solich wins the Coach of the Year award. He's hands down, the best coach in the MAC with a lot of other gentlemen fighting for second.
2. Ohio clinches the MAC East title on Nov. 1 against Eastern Michigan.
