That guy said in a much more succinct fashion than I could express, exactly why, although I wish for better things for our program, why I think the MAC delivers great bang for our modest FB budget.

A fun, breezy read ... but he boo-booed badly with one of his facts: "In fact, since the MAC first instituted a title game in 1997, the only schools currently in the conference who haven't won it are Eastern Michigan, Kent State and UMass." The fact, in fact, is that those are the only teams that have not
played
in the title game -- which is still quite a neat factoid.

Well, I hope OHIO puts an end to this parity nonsense for a long, long time.
I tell people all the time that OHIO and the MAC do athletics and division I football the right way. Modest budgets. Accessible for fans. Tons of fun. Major NCAA violations extremely rare.
