I am seeing other schools starting fall camps this week.
I am under the impression we start next week.
Anyone know why some start earlier even if their 1st game is Sept. 1?
1 example is LSU.

Just an educated guess, but I'm assuming LSU starts fall semester one week before OUrs.

I'm sure that's why. Basically, you get 40 practices before the week of the first game, and they are set as two-a-days until class is in session when it's just one per day. Sundays don't count. Ohio starts class the same week as the first game, so classes starting earlier this year didn't change when practice could start. Schools that start any earlier than Ohio are able to start practicing a little sooner.
