The Arizona Bowl is a MAC vs MWC matchup still, but any idea what's happening with sponsorship of the game?

I assume that since Barstool lost their main gambling affiliate, which I assume was their cash cow, are they still in a position to sponsor and pretty much produce their own bowl?

The NCAA still has Barstool carrying the game:

I don't think they ever really made money from the sportsbook, it barely got off the ground before ESPN bought the rights from PENN.

Most of their revenue comes from ad sales and merch.

Pretty certain it'll still be the Barstool AZ Bowl, as it's just another step in the direction they want to go - hosting their own games and tournamnets, legitimate TV, sports talk, etc

I was hopeful that they would put the merch from our game last year on clearance eventually but it's still going for full price.

I can't in good conscience drop $80+ on a hoodie or $40 + on a t-shirt........

my impression - i bought a sweatshirt - is that it's all on-demand. So there's probably not much of any inventory to unload.
