In the Coaches Poll for Week 4, OHIO received 3 votes. Hadn't seen this posted anywhere else yet. If you care, this puts us tied for 40th place with Wyoming and James Madison. Keep on winning, boys, and let's see that number tick up!

It can't hurt recruiting so this stuff matters.

That's disappointing. I'm surprised not even Albin voted for OU? That SDSU loss is gonna haunt us all season.

Unfortunately, when it comes to these votes you gotta keep the peddle down. We should've hung 50 on BG. Maybe that would've kept / got some attention.

Also, Surprising: Iowa got 16 votes - after getting shutout vs Penn State - after beating Iowa State 20 - 13. If you're voting Iowa in the Top 25 after getting beat down, because of their quality of wins... which includes Western Mich... and you're not giving any love to the team that also beat Iowa State...?

I'm not saying we should be in there over Florida, but a little love would be nice.

Bobcats did get a vote in the student media poll which is made up and run by student jounalist and broadcaster from school all across the county. Our 3 student media members (2 WOUB and 1 Post) are voting members. Our only vote was for 25th place by bgsu student representative.

When we played Bowling Green last week
I asked my sweetheart what should we do?
Should we hang 50 or just be happy?
Here’s what my sweetheart said
Que Sera Sera, whatever will be, will be
The futures not ours to see
Que Sera Sera, what will be, will be

We got two more votes this week.

Haven't seen the actual ballots. That will be interesting. I hope someone other than Tim voted for us. Start building some momentum into Miami week.

Others receiving votes: Maryland 81; Kansas State 73; Texas A&M 59; Air Force 32; UCLA 29; Clemson 18; Iowa 17; Wyoming 12; Kansas 11; Tulane 10; James Madison 8; West Virginia 6; Brigham Young 5; Wisconsin 3; Marshall 3; Ohio 2; Memphis 1; Florida 1.

Here's how fragile existence in the polls can be for G5 schools:

Fresno was unbeaten at 5-0 and was #24 in the AP poll last week. Their wins included 38-35 at Purdue and 29-0 at Arizona St. They lost 24-19 yesterday at a very good Wyoming team (5-1) and didn't get one vote in this week's AP poll. Oblivion. (Wyoming got enough points to check in at #27 this week.) One loss and you're gone.

Compare that to Mizzou, which at 5-0 was #21 last week. Their signature wins were 30-27 at home over Kansas St and 38-21 at Vandy. But they lost 49-39 at home to #22 LSU (4-2) yesterday. Was Mzzou sent to oblivion? Nope. They dropped out of the AP top 225 but still got enough votes to be 26th this week.

I bet it's Albin voting OU at 24 each week for that 2 points. Honestly, I appreciate the hustle.

All eyes on Miami at the moment. Crazy it could be an 8-1 v 8-1 match-up. Might have to make a trip down.

He made some comment either last week's monday press conference or at BGSU's postgame saying that he was not the only person ranking Ohio at the time.

But it's also plausible Albin just moved us up to 24 this week and the other guy found someone else to slot in their respective 25. Both outcomes are probably just as likely.

That would be crazy because the best both our records could be by the time we play them would be 7-1
