Frank Solich is tough as nails, no one can doubt that. He doesn't whine when Storage Wars is a repeat, like some little pansy. He calls up Barry, Dave and the rest and tells them to get their A$$ in gear! 'Cause thats what he's all about!
Now, you might ask, how do you create a no-nonsense, tough as they come man's man like Frank Solich? Well this article I saw yesterday may provide the answer. In reference to Frank's original hometown, Robindale in PA:
"Robindale once was situated about 15 miles northwest of Johnstown. It was essentially created to house the miners who worked the bituminous coal mine there. Frank's father was one of those miners. Young Frank lived in Robindale until the age of 12.
Robindale ceased being of any use as a community when it was mortally damaged by flooding in 1977. It was finally torn down and buried under a heap of fly ash dumped from the local electrical generating station.
Now, the only trace of Solich's boyhood home is the town cemetery."
ummmm...what? Frank's hometown was buried under something called "fly ash"? All that is left is a cemetery? That is some serious business. So the Frank creation mythology is not unlike that of Superman?!
