You don't make mistakes and you take advantage when the other team does.  That was the story of today's game.  No turnovers and very few penalties.  Recovered fumbles and catches of tipped passes resulting in scores were the keys to victory.  Do that all year and Bobcat fans will either be traveling to a very good bowl or complaining about getting the shaft.

You could say that the Nittany Lions proved something just by taking the field today but OUr guys had to prove it on the field and they did. That's a sign of a good team.

There was a blocked punt.  And our first TD came off a should-have-been interception.  Two missed field goals.

I would have excused a lot worse from being in Beaver Stadium on the first game of the year.

I'm impressed that we stayed focused having been down 14-3.

Good observations. You lose bigtime on special teams (blocked punt, 2 missed FGs) but still win the game. Opposite world of NC State and K-St. games in Grobe days.
