I stand by my comment when it was announced that PSU players would have the option to transfer. I said it would be a referendum on the new coach. If they players liked and respected him, few would leave. Having seen him before and after the game, I'd say there is a risk that more will leave after the season.
Unless the guy has a different demeanor with his players, if I were a player who didn't see action yesterday I would seriously consider transferring ASAP. According to ESPN, if a Penn St player doesn't play at all this year, they can still transfer by Aug 2013 without sitting out. But once they're in for even one play, they'll have to sit after transferring. They mentioned that when a frosh had to be used for one play yesterday.
