We need them to play well the rest of the season, so this becomes a "quality win".

Go Penn State!

Go Bobcats!

I've wrestled with this (though, of course, my desires obviously have no effect).  I still have an unsettling feeling about the whole PSU thing and also have gained very little respect for obrien.  Yet I know what you're saying.  I think I'll just be apathetic to PSU's season.

Will be cheering for them the rest of season. I assure it is in a completely selfish self serving way because it helps Ohio. Next year they can rot.

In all reality PSU is probably a 3 or 4 win team at best.  The NCAA penalties have already set them back.  Losing their best running back and wide receiver have crippled their offense.  After the Belton kid got hurt today their offense was done for the day.  I'm sure some of it were our adjustments but once 24 was in the backfield for them they didn't move the ball after that.  When you look at their schedule other than Navy and Indiana who are they going to put points up on?  They had a linebacker returning kicks and punts for god sakes today.  We probably just witnessed the beginning of PSU becoming Purdue at best for the next 30 years.

I'm not sure you can truly gauge them from yesterday's game.  There were an awful lot of distractions, right up through pregame when they had a ceremony that involved some of the players.  Yesterday was overly emotional for them and the fans, and it really showed in the second quarter when it all deflated.  Having a game on the road this week might actually be a blessing for them.  Plus they're all getting use to a new system and the coaches are still getting their feet wet in college ball.  They might get five or six wins this season.

I actually like Penn State, so I'll definitely be rooting for them all season. They are probably my favorite BCS team because nearly everyone in my family has some type of degree from there.

Can you imagine the meltdown in Cowtown if PSU somehow pulls off the upset when OSU rolls into Happy Valley? That would be amazing

Well, I still remember the time in the Grobe Era when we beat Minnesota and a few weeks later Minnesota turns around and beats The Big Farm in Cowtown.  A good friend of mine who is a big OSU fan, gets angry every time I mention that sequence and insists it was because against us Minnesota used an inferior QB and then used their first-team QB against OSU.  Truth is U of M was trying to figure out who its top QB was and used both guys in both games with the one who played less minutes against us getting more minutes against OSU.  My friend makes it sound like the Gophers purposely blew the game against us to set up OSU.  Speak of delusional thinking.

I feel terrible for uninvolved parties to the Penn State scandal.  I cannot imagine what they are going through.
