I thought I'd bring to people's attention that there has been discovered a major exploit affecting Java. Sun normally issues regular updates, but in this case the problem was serious enough that they released an update today to fix it. Those of you that run a lot of Java should be sure to update to the latest version. Unfortunately the newest release, while it does fix the other vulnerability, has issues of it's own, so some security advisers are recommending uninstalling it entirely, or disabling it, until this blows over. I personally have uninstalled it for the time being, which makes some websites not function correctly. If you choose to leave it installed you are probably fine, but stay away from questionable websites.
