1. OHIO dominates nmsu
2. Penn State beats Virginia
3. Ball State beats Clemson

As fans we are allowed to look ahead or back... I know this is premature, but how great would have it been for Toledo or NIU to have both won this weekend - would have really helped the MAC championship game.

When are we allowed to start day dreaming about BCS? If we beat Marshall, which I'm sure is going to be a very tough game - considering their talent and how they feel about last year. They are probably still upset about a fake punt (that wasn't called) when we were winning by 30.

But if we beat Marshall we could see a 7-0 OHIO team traveling to Miami on Oct. 27th. Although I didn't think we'd lose to Buffalo last year either despite all of our injuries on defense...

They shouldn't be too upset about the fake.  It was still the 3rd quarter and it just showed some respect for their potential to come back.

I am starting a bcs watch thread to track other teams loses after the Marshall game.  By that point more will be on board the optimism train.  The Miami game is starting to scare me.

I think the games that scare me the most (excluding Marshall--I think we all feel the same about them having a chip on their shoulder and that forecast to be a tough game) are Miami and Bowling Green. Miami will be a tough one because it's always rough going on the road to Oxford. Bowling Green, however, looks to have a decent-to-good football team this year (if their opening game wasn't evidence enough for it). Even though that game is at home, it's going to be a tough one, that's for sure. If my brother wasn't getting married that weekend, I would probably come up to Athens for the game. I hope there's a capacity crowd at Peden for BGSucksU.

At this point, I'm scared of ALL the games...  all of them.

I'm afraid I'm starting to have EXPECTATIONS.

Instead of being overjoyed at the win over Penn State, I'm nonplused.

Honestly, I thought we were the better team before the game started, and I hate to say it, but I EXPECTED to win.

I don't EXPECT a perfect season, but I can certainly see where it's possible.

Football in the MAC, though, has a funny way of leveling the playing field.. unexpected losses occur all the time.

And I'm trying not to look past ANYONE.  Every team on our schedule can beat us.

One game at a time.

Repeat after me: One game at a time.

Expectations scare me too... This is starting to remind me of basketball where I will get mad after losses and have to avoid bobcatattack.  In basketball, even though I expect to lose a couple every now and then, rarely do I expect it to actually be the current game.  I am going to be a nervous wreck before games.  Deep breathes...

My wish for the weekend -- COVER THE SPREAD!
..... and no injuries, of course.

Does this mean we'll have to be rooting for Miami to NOT suck this year except for when we play them?

I didn't think that was possible, given the level of suckage that has come out of Oxford lately.

Unless things change drastically this year, Oxford is a home game...

BG is going to be the Blackout game...Count it!
