I have visited the Fight on State forum for Penn State.  It's Wednesday and they are still bitching on this forum.  They are in denial that they were defeated by a MAC team. Give it up and move on.

They are blaming everything but themselves.  I was just reading about how our "flukes" and the refs did us in. Listed amongst the flukes was Tettleton's perfect throw to Ryan Clark for 30+ yards.

I recommend going back and reading through the game threads and watching the change in demeanor on the board. It's comical watching them go from "We are so much better with real coaching" to "OMG We were completely outcoached" and finally "The NCAA completely screwed us."

For god's sake people, stop trying to scare people away from the game.  Weather is what it is.  I have never seen 80% chance for Saturday.  I see 40% during the day and 20% in the evening on weather.com  It's going to be fine.  High of only 72, thats perfect!

I saw that last week.  It astounds me that they don't understand the issues and why the whole program needed to be punished as opposed to individuals.

That thread is truly a shame, and I was thinking about this last weekend: the dichotomy between the chronics/zealots and the rational fan base.  I was expecting more zealotry from the fan base on Saturday and saw 99% rational, sane nice people, and I can almost be sympathetic if they are a little pissed off at someone other than their University leadership for the NCAA sanctions.  Almost.

The people clinging to that thread for rationalizations need therapy.

Good news for PSU fans! After scouring the history books, they were able to find 5 Penn State losses worse than Ohio.

Here is where that site has it's comments on the game. They are an interesting read.

Don't forget, last year's win over Marshall induced the same sort of nausea amongst their fans. My guess is, if Marshall loses again to us this year we will hear far less of that sort of talk. We just have to deal with this sort of grumbling for a few more years ;) Then people will just learn to take their Bobcat medicine and STFU about it!

Getting absolutely toasted by a former walk-on at a MAC School in his very first game as a receiver must be really hard to swallow...
