Anyone know if there are going to be tickets we can get through Bobcat Club for the Marshall game? I'm ready to buy but not finding anything there (on the website). If we have an OHIO block would much rather be in that than just buying on the Marshall site not knowing what section most OHIO fans would be in...............

I called the ticket office yesterday to inquire about Marshall tickets. They said they had already sent our unsold tickets back to Marshall. Will be calling Marshall ticket office first thing tomorrow. If you tell them you are with Ohio they will be glad too help  you out. They are also very fast at getting tickets to you.

Thanks. I must have either missed the offers earlier, or just had not made up my mind, or thought I would not be able to go because my son has a baseball game that day - will end at appx 3:00, in Gahanna. But REALLY want to get there now, might be able to get there by game start, or real close, even with heavy metal on the pedal the whole way down.

I am curious, how many tickets did Marshall send to OU and how many were sold?

that is a good question . The follow up to that would be how much more demand is there for them today then there was on Friday.

Called 1-800-THE-HERD today. Super friendly and helpful gal took my ticket order, 2 seats on the aisle row 12 section 105 - so I am right next to the sections 103 &101 designated as "visitors" section. She said they would get in the mail today.

Really looking forward to this - never been to the "Joan" (have oggled at it from the road across the river many times).

I've "Herd" (facepalm) several different accounts of the place; some horrible some not.  I will say this though:  (and it pains me to have to stomach complimenting Marshall) they have pound for pound one of the better atmospheres I've seen at a college stadium.  The fans are usually all on top of what happens in the game (first downs, touchdowns*, etc) and pretty loud.

*It is fun to watch that when they do the "thunderclap" (a clap for every point after a score) they tend to lose track after 14-17 points.  I'm not one to make fun of rythym, but still draws a chuckle.  Hopefully, we don't have to worry about it too much.

EDIT:  please note, Marshall lurkers, that the insult parts were in jest.

Just bought my tickets today and I agree they were very helpful. I'm also in section 105, 2 seats on the aisle of row 14.

Super excited about this one! It'll be my first trip to the Joan as well.

How many you all think you're gonna bring? Would love to have you all pack your side... Athens isn't too far from Huntington.

I think you all will have a great time as well, we will have great hospitality for you all.

Went to the Joan in 2010, and it was a great place to watch college football.  Can't make the trip, but I think I'm going to drop the money buy the gamecast.  Can't miss this one!

I'm an Ohio grad now living in WV. My wife is a Marshall grad. This is always a big game for us.

The Joan is a great place to watch a game. My advice for anyone attending is to arrive early for parking. If you don't know the area, there's not a lot of parking for the amount of people down there for the events. In my opinion, it's a lot like an NFL game in the way that I notice lots of people go to tailgate, but never have any intention of going to the game.

In addition to great tailgating, another reason for that is there's quite a few bars within walking, some within spitting distance of the Joan. I think last year may have been the first year they didn't allow people to leave at halftime and come back. Tons of kids would leave, hammer down beers at a bar across the street and roll back in. I only went to one or two games last year. I think they have changed that policy. Being a few years out of college, that's not my shtick anymore, so can't speak absolutely on that.

I'll be honest, I was pretty disappointed in the Ohio turnout last game at Marshall, and even more in the outcome -- the decision to go for two after the hail mary. Anyway, I would think this time will be a lot better for both fans and scoreboard.

I honestly have no idea.  But keep in mind that Ohio fans will be scattered throughout the stadium.

I have a family wedding to attend and I'll be late...maybe mid 2nd quarter.

One of my all-time pet peeves: weddings during football season. My 1st cousin found this out the hard way when he scheduled his wedding the same day as OU Homecoming.

I think Ohio will have a pretty good crowd. The fact that the Marching 110 will be there is pretty cool. The last time the band made the trip to Huntington was Marshall's first season back in the MAC.

Have wo tickets available in Section 103 for the BOBCATS VS. marshall game.  Ordered four and two fans can't go.
I get to all games early - will have no problem meeting up with any BOBCAT FANS who need tickets.

On the Marshall post game show it was reported that OU sold 113 of its ticket allotment. Since OU sent back the balance of its allotment, OU fans will need to purchase tickets from Marshall for the game.
