Right off the bat, I'm not taking 21 for OHIO, we might beat them by 3 scores, but I think it is more likely 13 than 21. I still think we win by double digits.

I would take Akron, because FIU is not impressive

Michigan State to cover

Idaho against BG is one that, I am on the fence about, will BG cover? I am not 100% sure, 14 sure, but not 16

I'll take Indiana giving the points on the road. UMass offense was pathetic Thursday.

Likely difference year over year:  travel and altitude

I'll take:

BallSU (+27) (Never bet on Clemson. Never.)
EMU
Fiami
BUGS (-15.5)
Mich St. (-23.5)
UMass (+13) (If UMass can't stay within double digits [EDIT: single digits] of Indiana, I vote we kick them back to FCS).
Toledo (+3)
Kron (+23.5) (They'll be better this week, and the competition is worse. I just gotta keep telling myself that.)
Buffalo.
NMSU (+21) (Too many points to give up.)
WMU
NIU
Can't (+7) (Kentucky looked horribawful against Louisville.)

And in bonus action, I'll take Penn State outright over UVa, because if they lose this game, I think O'Brien may lose this team completely. It's a must win if he hopes to have any success.

What is up with EMU?  I thought they were supposed to build on their improved play from last season.  Now they have not done well at all their first two games this year.

UMass is much worse than I imagined. Indiana State gave the Hoosiers a game. UMass loses by 39.

And an interesting thing I read about Central in a recap of today's loss to Sparty: they haven't committed a penalty yet this season. That's hard to do.

Perhaps CMU would do better with an occassional penalty. The aggressive-type of foul, maybe.

Sort of reminds me of former ND running back and radio color commentator Alan Pinkett saying ND might be better if they began recruiting a few criminals - pointing to osu inc. as an example.

I remember reading that there was a slight inverse relationship between penalties and winning. Teams with the fewest penalties don't win as much as those with more, but it depended on the type of penalty. You don't win without playing aggressively, and if you play aggressively, sometimes you get a penalty.
