Since at this point the offense cannot definitively be counted on for MACtion on Saturday it is then up to the defense to allow NOTHING.

Get stuck with short field, many three and outs no matter. Defense you must take control of the season for everyone on the team.

Good luck, I see that the Broncos have moved the ball pretty well on occasion. That cannot be the case Saturday. Just Shut Them Down.

I'm cautiously optimistic about the offense having a good bounce back game this week.

The combination of wanting to get the taste last week's results out of their mouths, along with Western's softer D I think will allow a high output on offense.

If the Cats can get up to a two score lead, I would love to see some work in the passing game.

If OU goes up two scores, we're gonna see a slow grind until WMU hits a random reverse and goes for an 80 yard TD and we're forced to throw again.

I don't understand the thinking. They are playing Ohio, Ohio State and Cincinatti all at the same time. This cannot be an accident. The Miami v. Toldedo game is immediately after.

That is painstakingly true. I get that we like to move the ball slowly and control the clock, but a little faster pace might actually have helped us score in the first half of last game.

Ohio's slow pace on offense gives the opponent's defense more time to set up. The strategy worked against Iowa State. But that was three games ago and MAC opponents likely studied films of the Iowa State and FAU games.

And a faster offense pace just might help our O line and our running game which, gee, might also help the passing game.

My guess there are Ohio players who want to see a faster pace.

A 40% chance of showers Saturday afternoon with temps in the 50s. Not much wind, mostly from the west. Not quite as bad as lat Saturday in Dekalb.

Side note: ESPN also said OU's green paw helmets were the best uniforms of Week 6.

I'm with AlumDadDad. Rain or shine, we "are "Bobcats. When one has been around as long as some have.. I never would have thought Ohio would be going into this week as heavy favorites with a 5-2 record! I admire the analytics, I follow. Tomorrow we have to trust the process, the team and coaching staff.. I think the Northern game WAS a setback. However this turnaround will offer different play call and "schemes" should be interesting.

Here's to hoping today is a return to form for our offense. I hope we have some razzle dazzle plays scheduled in to catch WMU off guard and get some big yardage. Fake speed option pass, reverses, etc. I feel great if we can score 24+ points with our defense.

WMU's schedule has been tough so far. Perhaps there is some attrition on their side. They are tougher than I expected this year.

Truly, it comes down to our offense. Bangura and Allison are both averaging less than 4 ypc. That has to start improving. Can we get some big plays and consistent ground game today? If the answer is yes, we win.
