I us old timers appreciate the "PAW." . . . .
Well, maybe old-timers but not ancient-timers like me. I received my undergraduate degree in 1968, and most of those in my age-cohort that I know don't like the PAW. I had a window decal on my VW bug that actually I think must have been the model for the AttackCat. It was very similar except that the Bobcat had a open and more menacing looking mouth. It did have an arched OHIO. I've searched in vain to try to find a photo of it. I've found several photos of my bug, but none show the back window where the decal was located.

Pretty sure you are referring to the logo shown here used from 1958-1978.
I have always felt that there is enough people that like that Paw that it should remain as a secondary symbol for the university. But, the biggest reason why I totally prefer the arched Ohio attack cat logo is that it clearly identifies us outside of the university whereas the Paw is too generic of a symbol for barely anyone to recognize us outside of the university.
That said, I think it is a cool tradition to have the Paw helmets for homecoming each year, and I still think giving the players small pawprint stickers on the back of their helmets for good plays might be a cool way to blend the use of the two logos together though.
