Reading that whole thread on MU's board made me angry. They clearly look down on us, thinking they are the original Boise State....They're nowhere close. I have respect for Marshall, and the rivalry, but the "condescending asshole" thing is just frustrated fans taking out their aggressions.
However, I believe this is my favorite part of the whole thread: "Marshall fans used to have a swagger about them that screamed confidence...and a fanbase who, unlike wvu, would actually research and know about their team rather than just sporting a shirt bought from Walmart.
It was this swag we had that made opposing fans just, pretty much without asking, respect us due to the fact we carried ourselves so confidently."
Yet, when we have that confidence, we are cocky assholes.
Sounds like Marshall is bitter.

Hey....I don't hate Marshall. I knew some guys from my home town who played for them after the plane crash....you know...We Are Marshall stuff.
But I also lived thru the years of Marshall and Pennington and Moss and Ohio failure. They spit on us....they degraded us....they owned Suthern Ahia because we sucked and they were good....but they rubbed it in.
