"I'm not taking anything from Ohio when I say this, but I didn't think they were that much a better team than us," linebacker Lynden Trail said.

Come on, dude.  Ohio played backups most of the second half.  Ohio could have named the score of this game.

See my post in the game thread.  I was not impressed by this group of men...They all seemed to be of the "Never my fault, always somebody else's" way of thinking.

Plus we were without our starting QB for the entire game.  He must be related to Bill Belton.

Wait, didn't we already go through this?

It's like when people would say about Jim Brown, you take away that 40 yard run, that 55 yard run, and that 60 yard TD and he hardly did anything!

I bet he could get ANY girl he wants, too.  Just doesn't feel like it....

Is this guy serious?

According to this article it appears the coaches got tired of his attitude at Florida and would not allow him to dress for many of the games.

The whole Virgininian-Pilot article reeks of "excusism."

You have to admit, the second half it was pretty even between the Ohio scout teams and Norfolk State starters, though in fairness to the Scout team, they hadn't been running Ohio plays in practice.

I read The Post's interview with the Virginian-Pilot beat writer to preview the opponent, and I'm dumbfounded that he was describing the team that showed up for yesterday's game.

Before the game, it struck me that he might be a bit of a homer. Once we got into the game, I was fairly certain.

This picture was in the Richmond Times Dispatch today!

Ohio quarterback Derrius Vick throws a pass against Norfolk State during an NCAA college football game Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, in Athens, Ohio.

After further review, I've decided to cut the kid some slack.  After all, it's an election year and he has a right to be just as delusional as the candidates are.

We have the best team in Ohio; Let's be the best fans in Ohio, too.  Let's not be like those idiots just up OH 33.

If a 20 year old wants to hide his embarrassment behind some bluster, so what?

ON TO UMASS!

GO BOBCATS!

The Virginian-Pilot writer was very fair in his tweets during the game.

Here's his "Five things we learned vs. Ohio":  http://hamptonroads.com/2012/09/five-things-we-learned-vs...

 1. NSU players are not the best judges of talent – Linebacker Lynden Trail said he didn’t see much of a difference between Ohio and a MEAC school. Running back Brendon Riddick said he thought after Ohio’s defensive line, the defensive unit was soft. I never played, so maybe I don't understand football, but that's sure not  what I saw. Head coach Pete Adrian called Ohio the “most physical” team he’s played during his 8 years at Norfolk State. National publications are predicting that Ohio will finish unbeaten and serve as ammunition for those that hate the current college bowl system. I’ll side with the more experienced observers.
