... Temple lost to PSU.

Everything they ever really wanted in their football lives, Ohio has achieved... and they haven't. (sans joining a former elite conference that is a ghost of itself, of course... ). A ghost... a ghost. Boo...

Gag on that Jello pop. Chocolate... vanilla.... SWIRL.

I'm typically not a fan of applying the transitive property to sports . . .

. . . but in this case, I'll go with it.

Ohio > Penn State
Penn State > Temple

Ohio > Temple

Looks about right.  Hopefully MH55 agrees.

I have made this comment a lot out loud, but I really miss Temple.  They were becoming a huge rival.

Agreed. I like getting to root against them in non-conference games now, though.

I'm at the rat's patoute stage with Temps, except when they play teams we play, then I root against them.  Glad to see Penn St win the last two games 'cause it makes our win more impressive.  The way O$U and Wis have been playing, Penn St has really just one game left on their schedule that they don't have much chance of winning (at Neb).

Did anybody see the end of the Marshall game today?  Doc Holliday tried everything in his power to lose that game and probably would have if Rice's QB didn't separate his shoulder diving for the endzone with about a minute left.

Let's set the stage. With just over 4 minutes to go Marshall scores a touchdown to go up 10 with the point after pending.  What's Holliday do? He goes for two which makes it infinitely easier for Rice to tie the game after it is unsuccessful.  Of course, Rice drives down and scores a touchdown in less than a minute.  Holliday then burns a timeout right before the kickoff to set his onside kick strategy.  With over three minutes on the clock and all their timeouts Rice kicks deep. Marshall in their wisdom has no one deep.  Their returner makes a pretty good over the shoulder catch of the kick off at the 5 and promptly takes a knee even though no defenders were within 20 yards of him.  Then the predictable happens and Marshall goes three and out and punts back.  Rice should have gotten the ball at around the 50 but in their infinite wisdom and CUSA savvy they let the punt hit and it rolls 30 yards all the way to the 20.  Rice then gets it out to the 50 with about a minute and a half to go when their QB, who had an amazing last couple of drives, breaks off a 47 yard run and dives untouched and is down at the Marshall 2.  This is the play he hurts himself on and he's done for the game.  Rice then self destructs and loses in OT.  If you are a Marshall fan I don't see how you can feel good about the coaching staff.

Not to mention the dearth of fans in the stands for the high powered CUSA.

The announced attendance was something like 14,300.  They must have had 14,200 on the same side as the camera because there was literally only about 100 people in the stands that the camera showed.
