Road wins are tough to come by...period.

To go undefeated, teams have to win games when they don't have their best stuff.

Survive and advance.

Oh...and I'm glad Blankeship wears the green and white.

You hear of "near beer"?

Well UMASS is "near D1." They are really D1-AA...

This is beyond those "on the road, lucky to win" games.

Life can be a hell of a lot worse today.

We all could have gone to Georgia Tech.

Did you see what the Yellow Jackets did today?

5-0. Who cares how it went, 5-0. The more this season goes the more it feels like the 2002 Ohio State team that always found a way to win the close games even when they didnt have their best stuff

This was one of those games that had trap written all over it. Unknown team, unknown facility, UMASS has some talented players from Notre Dame and next thing you know its a squeaker. I'll take it, but a lot to work form for next week.

CardiacCats at their finest tonight. A win is a win. If we win all 12 games this season in that fashion, we will still be 12-0. It's gut-wrenching, Near heart-breaking, but still exciting and it makes our season that much sweeter.

We went 1-0 this week.

Ohio was flat from the start. Like I said, these games happen and we are fortunate to still get a win. Florida State is struggling against USF. It happens.

Stanford Lost to Washington, good teams have bad games from time to time. This was a very bad game, and UMASS played with a lot of emotion. Great teams win the games they play poorly in. We just better hope that this doesn't happen again.

Good grief following this team the last 12 months has been crazy.  Lots of games that keep you on the edge of your seat.  Good thing I drink.

Survive and advance is right.  Fly home and forget about it.

UMass wasn't bad at 1AA; 5-6 last year.  Plus they have a new coach who knows the MAC.  As Rob pointed out, they're a lot like Terd only they don't beat themselves; few penalties and turnovers.  If they had had a decent-sized crowd there (they had 16,000 for Indiana), the outcome might've been a lot different.  I expect them to be a tough opponent the rest of the year.

I'm honestly not trying to be a jerk, but are you joking here? A losing record = not bad? Not coming close to winning in FBS until today.

If it smells bad, it's probably bad.

Um... they're bad.

Being at this game was exciting to say the least.
Some thought from this game.
UMASS probably played at their best today and almost pulled off a great upset.
UMASS started to make mistakes in the second half which really hurt them ie. fumble, penalties.
They needed to play a near perfect game to win, and we didn't.
We had no turnovers and basically played pretty well.

I know Beau is a workhorse but dont we have to start giving Boykin some touches to give Beau a break. 30+ carries a game is going to take its toll at the end of the year.

Not a great game today but we would have lost this game in years past.

Frank said pre-game that he didn't want to play boykin if he was less than 100%, not when he seems to be getting better. Specificially said that he'd rather not risk injuring him and never having him 100% this season than work him in when he's questionable.
