Thanks for posting that. We had it right on BA, maybe not so much on the Iowa State boards.
Wonder if the Cleveland station that told their audience that Ohio got a break on bad call will run this clip, which BTW starts at 4:42. I kind of doubt it, as Cleveburg media never seems to like the 'Cats that much, which is strange given our large alumni base there.

Steve Shaw, the national director of officiating put the missed kick on the weekly training video last week. And that is exactly what it was, a missed kick, supported by rule. There is only debate on the issue by people who just want to always believe there is a conspiracy.

Oklahoma State is a total smoke show right now. Talk about a turnaround in fortunes, things have went south in Stillwater!

It's good to get some statement from the NCAA on this. The rule says the ball must go "between" the uprights. If it's over an upright, it's not "between" them.

Did not want to use that word on a forum.

And next, the P5 that Ohio beat (ISU) will play at the P5 that Miami beat (UC). Not that we can learn much from comparative scores, but it will be interesting nevertheless.

Side note, Oklahoma State's Defensive Coordinator is an Ohio Bobcat.

Bryan Nardo is Okie State's Defensive Coordinator and did both his undergrad and grad work at Ohio. He grew up in Shadyside, Ohio and attended St. John's Central in Bellaire for high school. Good person from a great family. Just another kid from the Valley and OVAC who has done well for himself.

Well, that "smoke show" just took down the KSU, the defending B12+ champions.

I've spent a little time reading the Iowa St. boards in the lead-up to them playing Cincy. Two things: It will be interesting to see how they hold up vs a team Miami beat this year and, multiple persons there have really glommed on to the excuse that the loss to Ohio was primarily due to food poisoning. It's not as if there aren't a million other reasons for the close game. Here's one that could just as easily be considered: Kurtis was still getting back into the offense after having had to sit out one and a half games. See? We can do it too...
They just can't admit that they fairly lost a game to us. One guy on their board even said the ref kicked the ball away from the Iowa St. center when they were trying to go hurry up giving Ohio a chance to set their defense. Oh, and how could we forget the kick? They were robbed because the kick was good!
Good lord.

Don't look now, but the Cyclones are tied for first in the Big12 at 4-1 after their win today and Oklahoma's loss to Kansas.

On a side note. Another MAC upset early in the year. Bowling green beat Georgia tech. Georgia tech just beat #24 North Carolina. The pirate flag MAC 🏴‍☠️ Flag will always hold merit. The difference between the MAC and these other leagues isn’t as big as people would have you think. Anyone can beat anybody on any given day given the effort and planning.

I agree. I watched the BG-GT game. It was one of the most entertaining games I've seen this season. After spotting GT 14 points the Falcons scored 31 unanswered points, which included a pick 6.
