Is our d for real? Is the offense' best yet to come?
I think these answers are both mostly yes but we still haven't shown enough to justify this pick, IMHO
I think those are fair points-looks like but wait and see.
We played three games but Ohio's defense faced really one solid balanced offensive attack in FAU and a physical run game at San Diego State. Last week's dominance against FAU was a good sign but it is only one game. Any slight glimmer of luster in dominating LIU defensively was short lived as LIU lost last week to Bryant scoring only 10 points. For context, Bryant lost to UNLV in week one of this year 44-10.
Offensively, I would agree. Kurtis will probably get more slack to throw than Harris but the offense has run the ball 90 times in the past two weeks with 45 passes. I think Albin and company may have realized in the San Diego State loss that we passed too much, especially with Harris, and we can win grind out games.
That being said, Rourke did take a few deep shots last week but was off the mark which I wouldnt expect to continue.
