Cool seeing all the guys behind Houser during post-game interview yelling "Hire Coach"
That just about confirms my suspicions that getting Hauser hired served as fuel for the players to play their butts off.

Not to get lost in the hire Hauser talk, want to call out how good Sieh was tonight. Hopefully some Cowboys scouts were in their own building to see that one.

Man, what a night.

I expected this to be a tough matchup but this exceeded expectations.

Hire Hauser!

Congratulations Bobcats! You beat them on the scoreboard as well as behind the woodshed. Impressive performance.

Addazio is probably going to be dreaming tonight that it’s just a matter of time before UNLV comes back; then he’ll awake straight up in bed in a cold sweet wondering if it really happened or he was having a nightmare. :)

Nice win for the Bobcats. Good to see.

It's been ages since I posted here so I hope y'all don't mind me stopping by. I had followed y'all from the time Solich was first hired and was so happy for both him and the school and what he had managed to accomplish for the program and the university. Solich is long gone but the football program still grows, and that's good to see.
Congratulations again for your bowl appearance and the win, and I hope the program makes repeated and frequent bowl game appeances into the far future.

GO BOBCATS!

I'm thinking he coached Temple when they were in the MAC and lost to Ohio one or more times.
He was personally victimized by Tremayne Scott, who played in a win vs. Addazio’s Temple team in 2011 (as well as 2 wins against Temple the previous two years before Addazio got there.)
Still remember watching Tremayne knock the livin' crap out of Bernard Pierce late in that 2011 game.

No Tank Pearson. Hurt or sitting out?
He was listed as OUT in the MAC availability report.

PS: Scooter's Coffee? Where's my Bobcat Blend? Feels like they're missing an opportunity to sell a winner's blend or at least provide a promo code for online orders...

Very pleasant game, lots of plays made all over the field. Best tackling we have had all year by far. Won the battle of the lines of both sides of the ball. Anyone look at UNLV's results this year? Had scored at least 29 in every game this season until last game, when Boise held them to 21 in the MWC championship. Very potent offense AND we hand them 3 turnovers and they muster just 10 points. Awesome performance by the defense, in spite of no Tank Pearson and Luqman with a BS ejection right at the start. Incredible.

On offense, Navarro & Bangura made the plays we've come to expect over the years. They will be sorely missed!

7 bowl wins in a row, amazing. I'll be rooting hard against Minnesota this weekend so we can stand alone in bowl performance supremacy.

A very good ending to the season. Not the cleanest game, but it’s hard not to love the results. A pretty good Bobcat attendance and the 110 seemed very energized as usual. They just got a “very good band”comment from some UNLV fans on my plane heading home.

I know I'm late to the board this morning. I was so (intoxicated) fired up after that win I didn't hit the sheets until 2 AM.

There was something about that game I can't explain. After decades in the college ball basement, we have become a "program." The hits from our D last night just kept coming. Man it was impressive. Bangura,Navarro and I'll throw in a Dellenbach! Just crazy good stuff man. You all touched on this and more but wanted to just say it.

I wanted a 5th Quarter!

What in the hell are they waiting on! HIRE HAUSER!

LB’s were the biggest question mark coming into the season and they delivered.

Out of top 5 tacklers last night, 2 Freshmen, 1 Sophomore, 1 Junior. Only 1 senior (Adonis). Defense is loaded if we can survive the portal relatively unscathed. Just hire the man and keep this thing going!

Keep in mind that Temple, even though they were in the MAC, and even though they never won the MAC, looked down on the entire MAC.

It sure would be nice to have Thomeson, Kemeni, Molnar, Fries, Hollobaugh, and Christopher back on the roster at Nickel and LB next season.

It'd be great if every Bobcat with eligibility left returns next season (unlikely in 2025). But I believe neither Kemeni nor Hollobaugh qualify.

Did we beat Steve Addazio at some point? He hasn’t liked any penalty called against UNLV.

Yes. He was at Temple for awhile. Ohio beat him 35-31 in 2011. They didn't play in 2012.
FACT: Temple never beat a MAC team with a winning record as a member of the MAC.

While true, there is no way that they would admit that they aren't far superior to the MAC. FWIW, since leaving the MAC, they have had ten head coaches, with a combined record of 68-89. They are a model of stability and football power.
