I would not count on much of anything happening for us the rest of this window. As laid out above, we don’t have a ton of spots. P4 kids will be getting cut after new roster rules or looking to move in the Spring if it seems like they won’t start. Also have kids who thought they were done but now have extra time they weren’t expecting after being JUCO players, and some of them are probably still deciding what to do.

Save some spots for the Spring window.

So people are thinking that most of the walk on players on our current roster will be with us in the fall. I guess I’m not buying that. 2 commits today.

I think the more likely scenario is more leave in the Spring and we pick up guys from all over as well.

Outside of Weaver, I was bummed to see CJ leave. But FAU??? What am I missing? Maybe a Pickerington kid does want to see the ocean. What else could it be.

As mentioned above - Ricky Hyatt. Westerville Central HS > Kentucky > South Alabama > now OHIO.I do not know the 2nd.

Positions of Need

LB - Need to replace Blake Leake and get depth after losing FR Bowman and Startz to the transfer portal. Currently have 7 LBs on the roster with 2 FR incoming.

OL - Need to replace 4 of 5 starters

WR - On paper we have a lot of solid guys (Hendricks, Harris, Rodarte, Gossett, Dennis) but wouldn't it be nice to find another Coleman Owen

DE / DL - Need depth on the DL. Losing Weaver and Doggette sucks but there are a lot of young guys on the roster I'm hoping will take a step forward this year (Cam Rice, RJ Keuchler, Nathan Hale, Walter Bob).

Definitely. Might have saw what we were all about when he played against us as part of South Alabama and decided to come home. And fresh off a win against Western Michigan no less.

So the kid from Columbus ends up at FAU with that program that hits yet another coaching change and reset and we trade a kid from Massillon to possibly New Mexico for Kemeni? The agents should all be shipped to Greenland. I can’t imagine coaching in this environment.
