Best guess is we'll be #26 in the USA today poll and #27 in AP based on the wins and losses of those ahead of us. Anybody else?

... been a lot of talk about what the teams ahead of us did... What about the teams right behind us?  AP dropped us 5 spots for winning on the road last week. I'm just not confident that a home scare against another bad team is going to vault us forward. Injuries or not, I think we're as likely to move backward as anything.

Edit: As someone else mentioned, don't be surprised to see Penn State start grabbing votes and leapfrog us.  Deserved or not (it's not), it could easily happen.

If you take Penn State out of the equation our opponents have as many combined wins as we do as a team.

I don't think any of these teams will jump us, but maybe NC STATE will...
Arizona State 15, Arizona 4, Miami (FL) 4, Iowa State 3, Tennessee 3

Only in the AP poll.  They're banned from the USAT poll.  If they start getting votes, it'll be at the expense of the teams just out of the top 25 who lost this week.  Arizona. MiamiF and Texas Tech are the most likely candidates.  They could also get some from those who voted for Northwestern.  I don't expect us to move up a whole lot since yesterday's win wasn't that impressive to the casual observer.

By the way, ESPNU's latest fan poll has us at #6.  Not sure how recent this is; if you try to vote it's dated Sept. 17.
