Really proud of the guys winning this game with all the injuries and knocks on players we have piling up. I think we all thought that we would dominate most of our games early in the season. But we probably all need to realize that with everything that has happened to this team its going to take a lot of perseverance by the players and good coaching adjustments each game for us to pull off the run we are hoping for.
1) Defensively we have to cover up our deficiencies and make adjustments each game, but this means the 1st quarter of all our games are going to look ugly for the most part and probably the 3rd quarter as well after the other team has made adjustments.
2) TT is no longer going to be that guy picking up first downs on a scramble or running designed runs, whatever knocks he is carrying he and/or the coaching staff have decided for him to play safe. So we have to get used to him being a more pocket passer now.
3) Our revolving receiving core might be making more mistakes in their routes or catches with TT having to get ready with a slightly altered group each and every week due to injuries.
I think we can still with each game on our schedule but man is it going to be a dogfight the rest of the season.

My tenure in college spanned the entirety of The Dark Days of the Brian Knorr Era. Back then, we didn't win our 6th game until August of my junior year. I will take winning ugly over losing ugly any day.

Akron has been looking scarey, but after BGSUcks held them to 10 pts at Infocision yesterday, I think we'll be fine. Unless they were looking past the Falcons to our game. Nah.

I can remember watching a game on tv during the lichtenburg era and then calling the school the following Monday and asking that they do two things: not allow our team to be shown on tv and fire lichtenburg after the season. I was embarrassed by what I had seen. I thought Ohio would have been beaten by most good Division 1 high school teams in Ohio that year. It was horrible.
i'll take eeking out a win any day to that disaster. These are heady times. We have become quickly spoiled by our success. 6-0 is AWESOME no matter how ugly the wins were.
If you've ever played football, you know how important depth is. The fact that OUr team has found ways to win speaks volumes about the coaching and the players.
i have NEVER been prouder to be a Bobcat than I have been the past couple of years. I have friends who are from Fiami and OSU and Eastern and they all recognize that things are going well in Athens.
People are envious of what's going on. That's the first time in my lifetime I can say that about Ohio athletics.
Go Bobcats!!

We should be blowing bad teams out. Our 2nd string guys are better than the starters at UB and UMass. Our coaches are better too. I am worried about Akron's passing attack this week. Our defense is out of position too often.
We have the best team in the MAC and should win every game. I would love to see the swagger back that I saw in the first 4 games. That energy, confidence and intimidation will be harder to regain the longer the team is without it.
