I feel so bad for this kid. He is an awesome tight end. I hope he still gets a shot at the NFL.

How do we know this already? ACL? You would think this would be unconfirmed for at least a day or so.

Coach Solich said so on radio postgame.

Solich mentioned it during the post game interview.

What a shame!  I hope his knee fully recovers.

What is it this year with all the injuries?  Seems like 2007 all over again.

That's horrible news, but his work is not done. He's always been a great representative of Ohio University, and a team leader.  Like Travis Carrie, he can continue to lead from the sidelines. His leadership abilities will assure that he is successful after football, too, I have no doubt.

That really sucks.  Jordan has been one of my favorites the last couple years for his consistency and toughness.  God speed, 88.

That's a real shame.  The guy has been a class act throughout.

On another note, you can often tell an ACL immediately.  Had a son go down with one playing soccer.  Trainer said immediately it was torn.  He did recover and had a good college career.

So, I too hope Jordan recovers and gets a chance if that's his wish.

The Thompson family is one of my favorites too. Jordan has been a great player and his fan base is as loyal as I've ever seen. I don't know what else to add, except a thank you for being a great representative of our university.

The quote in the messenger says this:

Quote:expand_more
In addition, tight end Jordan Thompson — who made his 47th career start on Saturday — left the game with a leg injury in the third quarter. Solich indicated the injury was serious and could “probably be lost for the season.”

So maybe there's a glimmer of hope.  Either way, really tough break for a great player who has made great contributions over the years.

starting to think the "C" on the jersey stands for cursed. this is terrible news for Jordan personally and for the team. Very tough loss if he is in fact gone for the season.

This is what you don't want to see for any player. A player like Jordan who gave his all for this program not just as a player but as a role model. I really thought he might of had a shot to continue playing football after college. This injury might slow him down, but I hope to see him on sundays

I was heartbroken hearing Coach Solich say this yesterday. Thompson has been a model Bobcat and a face of the Solich era. Hopefully he can battle back. If not what a career as a leader for this program.

Horrendous news, along with Xavier Hughes. I am hoping no one gets lost for the season against 'Kron Saturday, but looks unlikely based upon each game this year so far. Unbelievable luck.

Any further news regarding injuries coming out of the Buffalo game? I saw a D-lineman hobble out, but then I think he came back in...

If Jordan is out for the season, it is truly a huge blow to the "Cats.  He is a real leader on this team, both off the field and on the field.  He is a 4.0 student, an outstanding clutch performer, and what a "student-athlete' is supposed look like, and act like !   He has had a great career at Ohio and is a real credit to our program, his family, his school !   Stand up and Cheer for 88 !

This is a shame. Jordan is a great guy. A couple years ago, he played through an injury but never said a word. Tough dude. And one of the few football players willing to be part of the basketball O Zone.

Jordan and his family have epitomized what it means to be a Bobcat.  I'm sure he'll spend the rest of the season on the sideline and in the TE room helping his position mates and the rest of the offense in the same way Travis has dedicated his efforts on the other side of the ball.

Here's hoping this injury doesn't derail his ability to get a shot at the next level (if that's his intent).  If not, he's quite obviously very well prepared to take that next step regardless of where it might be.

Thank you 88...For all the memories!
