Counting the Bowl Game last season we are currently at 7 wins in a row.

What is the all time OU wins in a row ?

Longest win streak is 12 (1928-30).
Longest unbeaten streak is 19 (18-0-1 in 1928-30).

And don't forget, Ohio won 5 games in a row prior to losing to Northern Illinois in the MAC Championship Game.

I tried to take a look at the current winning streaks and Ohio is not that far back if it can continue winning to lead the nation. Once the school hits 10 consecutive wins the streak will get its due attention.

Alabama 10
South Carolina 10
West Virginia 9
Mississippi State 7
Cincinnati 7
Ohio 7

The more Ohio wins the easier it is to coach against.  I recently saw a high school game with two good teams, one with a long streak.  The other coach threw the book out the window, won the toss deferred so he could kickoff.  Four onside kicks later he had a lead the undefeated team could not overcome.  No one could believe it when they just kept coming onside,  Nothing to lose.  No doubt coach Bowden is at that point.  Four down territory is the whole field, etc.  Nothing to lose, coach Bowden, I expect more than a few suprises.

Cornered animal (kangaroo perhaps) with nothing to lose is dangerous game. Best to kill it early and not give it hope.

This.  We need a start like Norfolk State. Sure, we're going to give up yards and points to this team, but make Akron desperate early and they will make more mistakes.
