Since you haven't been, and may not be familiar with game-day procedure -- make sure to make your way to the press-box side of the stadium post-game, if you aren't already there, for the 110's post-game performance.

Jolly Bean,

Sorry that I'm going to miss you Saturday as I have son's and daughter's soccer games to attend. You should know, however, that your Huskers will be my third favorite team to root for this Saturday. Fourth favorite, if not limited to college football teams (go REDS!!).

If you see someone with a silver v-dub wagon trying to keep three kids corralled in the grass lot along the river, stop and say hi.

I'll look for you tomorrow!  Too bad the weather won't be like it is today (Friday).  Absolutely beautiful today.  Hope the rain holds off, or at least that it's not a steady rain.  It's supposed to be mainly in the morning.

I am assuming you will be at two Ohio venues Saturday. Athens in the A.M. and Columbus in the P.M.?

What's the word on that Post writer potentially attending this game and writing another column on it? You know, that girl who was using satire in her piece. If she gets a load of this guy, she's going to flip her lid.

"Why is there a clown in red overalls?"

"What's a Cornhusker and what does it have to do with OU?"

I don't know if I've laughed at a post on BA harder in awhile. Thank you for that.

Mrs. Oldcat and I spoke with Jolly before the game just to say hello and to welcome him  to Athens. I was surprised to see his green hair instead of the usual and expected Cornhusker red but we were delighted to speak with him and hear him say he was anxious to see the 110. He told us that their trip included a stop at Kings Island on Friday evening to ride The Beast and that they were, of course, headed to Cowtown after our game. I did not speak with him after half time but I am sure he enjoyed the 110 performances both pregame and at the half. Too bad his Cornhuskers were not able to beat tOSU but I do believe he had a great trip. Mrs.Oldcat and I both expressed on our way home of how nice it would be to make such a trip.  I hope he thoroughly enjoyed his time in Athens.

Jolly Bean said he wanted to sit near the 110 and got his wish.  He sat to the south of the 110 on the aisle and was a delight for people in the stands and to many in the 110.  My family sat right next to him and his sidekick and have pictures and some certain memories.  He certainly got lots of curious looks!

He is quite the Husker fan, traveling to the away games as well.  He wasn't able to stick around for the post game but enjoyed the band, especially the bands timeout songs and tunes on each down.  He quickly learned the O-H-I-O trailer to the fight song and participated each time.

He was as concerned with our defense as anyone and appreciated my assurance that the same start happened at Marshall.  He noticed the QB was a little quick at unloading and not attempting to make something happen with his feet.

Thank you Jolly Bean and sorry you only got to witness one win on your long road trip to Ohio.
